Saga City will host the "34th Saga Mayor's Cup and 35th Wakaba Cup" hot air balloon tournament on June 6 and 7, 2026, at the Kasegawa riverbed. The event gathers veteran and young pilots from across Japan. Spectators can enjoy colorful balloons taking flight and skillful piloting. During the event, tethered balloon rides will also be offered, allowing up to 100 people per day to experience floating in the sky.
