Atom Corporation, part of the Colowide Group and headquartered in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, will reopen the Nigiri no Tokubei Shikishima store in Kai City, Yamanashi Prefecture, on Saturday, May 16, 2026. Nigiri no Tokubei is an authentic gourmet conveyor-belt sushi restaurant chain operating 43 stores mainly in the Tokai area, including Aichi and Gifu. The restaurant offers more than 130 menu items at all times, with sushi priced from 130 yen per plate, or 143 yen including tax, to 690 yen, or 759 yen including tax, allowing guests to enjoy sushi made with high-quality ingredients across a wide price range. On reopening day, the store will hold a domestic fresh bluefin tuna cutting show from around noon. To mark the reopening, fish-cutting shows by skilled chefs will also be held every Saturday. On the second Saturday of each month, an entire bluefin tuna will be cut and prepared. Guests can experience the excitement of a live chef performance and the exceptional freshness of fish prepared on the spot. During the domestic fresh bluefin tuna show, freshly prepared otoro, chutoro, and akami cuts will be served.
