Ascensio Systems Pte. Ltd. (Singapore) announced that its document management platform, "ONLYOFFICE DocSpace," now supports an official node for the open-source workflow automation tool "n8n." This integration allows users to connect DocSpace with tools they already use, such as Gmail, Slack, and HubSpot, to automate routine tasks like room creation, file management, and user invitations with no-code workflows. It is also available in self-hosted environments, making it suitable for companies that prioritize data management. Companies using DocSpace often face manual, routine tasks, such as creating rooms for contract finalization, issuing accounts for new employees, or sorting incoming forms. With the addition of the official n8n node, these tasks can now be built into automated workflows. n8n is an automation platform that allows users to build workflows by connecting nodes on a visual canvas. As it is open-source and can be operated on a company's own infrastructure, it has high compatibility with DocSpace users who prioritize security and data sovereignty. It can integrate with over 400 services. The newly added "ONLYOFFICE DocSpace" node covers key operations via the DocSpace API, including uploading, downloading, moving, and generating share links for files; creating, updating, and archiving rooms; and inviting users and changing their permissions. Additionally, the "ONLYOFFICE DocSpace Trigger" node is provided to detect events within DocSpace, such as file or room creation, and initiate workflows. The official blog announcement highlights the following as primary use cases: * Automatically create a collaboration room for a client upon deal closure, upload a contract template, and send an invitation email. * Automatically save email attachments to DocSpace, summarize the content with AI, and notify via Slack. * Automatically issue DocSpace accounts for new employees upon their onboarding. * Automatically archive rooms that have been inactive for over 90 days
