The company was founded in 1953 as the Fukudaya Clothing Store, a menswear shop in Izumicho, Mito, Ibaraki Prefecture. Supported by local residents since its days as a small neighborhood menswear shop, the company continued to grow and marked its 70th anniversary in 2023. “ADASTRIA BAZAAR! presented by and ST HD” began as an opportunity to thank the people of Mito, Adastria’s birthplace. Last year, the two-day event drew around 7,500 visitors, and this year marks its fifth edition. The event will include a Family Garage Sale offering stock items from the company’s brands at reasonable prices, “A Kitchen,” which brings together cafe menus from popular company brands, a fashion show created together with local residents, wind ensemble concerts by local junior and senior high school students, and many booths where visitors can experience content from Adastria’s brands and projects.
