FC Jurong (formerly Albirex Niigata Singapore / Location: Singapore, Chairman: Daisuke Korenaga) is pleased to announce that it will hold the "4v4 FC Jurong Cup 2026," a 4-a-side soccer tournament, on August 8, 2026 (Sat). The "4v4" is a 4-a-side soccer tournament conceived by Keisuke Honda to further energize the soccer world. Under the mission of "World soccer tournaments for all children," it started in 2023 targeting children in their developmental years and will be in its fourth year in 2026. This will be the second time it is held in Singapore, following last year. The biggest characteristic of 4v4 is the absence of managers or coaches on the bench. Instead of waiting for instructions from adults, players think for themselves and advance the game while communicating with their teammates. Through the many playing and decision-making opportunities unique to 4-a-side, the aim is to foster not only soccer skills but also abilities such as proactivity, decision-making, communication, and leadership.
