AISIN Corporation (Headquarters: Kariya City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Moritaka Yoshida; hereinafter "AISIN"), its consolidated subsidiary CVTech Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tahara City, Aichi Prefecture; President: Atsuyuki Inoue; hereinafter "CVTech"), and CVTech Hokkaido Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Tomakomai City, Hokkaido; President: Yasuhiro Morimoto; hereinafter "CVTech Hokkaido") will merge on April 1, 2028, with CVTech as the surviving company, as part of a reorganization of the production system. The AISIN Group is promoting a transformation of its business portfolio and a shift of resources to growth areas to realize new value creation in "mobility," and as part of strengthening its management foundation for this purpose, it is proceeding with effective functional consolidation and integration/abolition of bases. For the metal belts for continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) produced by both companies, we will maintain and improve competitiveness by maximizing production efficiency while accurately and rapidly responding to the changing environment. Furthermore, the CVTech Hokkaido plant is scheduled to cease production in December 2027 and close at the end of March 2028.
