The "Kodomo Work in Shimizu Port 2026," a maritime job experience event for elementary school students, organized by the General Incorporated Association Chiki Mirai Sozo Center and planned/supervised by Actindi Inc., will be held from July 18th (Sat) to August 20th (Thu). Now in its fourth year, the event will feature 17 programs in total, the largest number to date, including new programs such as "Japan Coast Guard Officer" and "Engineer/Navigator," in addition to popular existing ones. Through a variety of job experiences unique to Shimizu Port, children will have the opportunity to feel a connection to the sea. Furthermore, to foster deeper learning from these experiences, a project contest called "Kodomo Work's AWARD" will be held. Outstanding works, including project proposals created during the experience and summer vacation research projects, will be selected for awards and commemorative gifts.
