Marui Group has nominated new board directors to be approved at the 90th Annual General Meeting on June 27. The candidates include Tamako Mitarai, a social entrepreneur and CEO of Kesennuma Knitting, and Naofumi Tsuchiya, CEO of Goodpatch and a specialist in Digital Transformation (DX). The reshuffle aims to lower the board's average age by seven years, facilitating a generational shift. These appointments are strategic moves to accelerate the group's 2031 vision of a 'Suki-driven economy' and to balance social impact with corporate profit through fintech and co-creation investments.
