Koriyama City, Fukushima Prefecture, is implementing the "Oto-doke Koriyama" project, which delivers Koriyama's specialty products such as local ingredients and sake to gatherings related to Koriyama held outside Fukushima Prefecture starting in fiscal year 2025. This project aims to liven up local conversations by delivering the tastes and information of their hometown to those who are active in various places after leaving their hometown, and to foster relationships with Koriyama, their place of origin, in the future. This project was recently implemented at the Tokyo Kuwano-kai General Meeting and Social Gathering held on June 27th in Tokyo, attended by alumni of Fukushima Prefectural Anzai High School residing or working in the Tokyo metropolitan area. City officials, including the mayor, attended the gathering and served approximately 80 participants with local Koriyama sake and whiskey, as well as wine, craft beer, and Koriyama's soul food, cream box (bread spread with sweet milk cream). While participants savored the flavors of Koriyama, PR was conducted for the hometown tax donation return gifts. Additionally, various brochures were distributed to inform attendees about present-day Koriyama, and guidance was provided for joining the "Koriyama Fan Club," which delivers Koriyama information via email newsletter, resulting in many new members. - Seeking Delivery Destinations!
