Certified NPO Keep Smiling (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Yuki Mitsuhara; hereinafter referred to as Keep Smiling) has launched a crowdfunding campaign to further accelerate improvements in the accompanying environment at pediatric wards nationwide, coinciding with the release of "Accompanying White Paper 2025." ■ Background of the Initiative The "Accompanying White Paper 2025" released today revealed that while there are signs of improvement in the living environment for accompanying families due to revisions in medical fees and the establishment of government subsidy systems, the health and economic burdens on families remain severe. It also became clear that hospitals are unable to make sufficient improvements due to shortages in personnel, budget, and know-how. For accompanying families, while there were signs of improvement in their living environments such as sleep, meals, and bathing, the deterioration of their physical condition and economic anxieties remain serious. The current situation, where "even if systems change, the reality on the ground has not yet been fully felt," has become clear. It is necessary to support improvements not by relying solely on systems, but through collaboration among hospitals, government, corporations, and citizens. Keep Smiling has launched this crowdfunding campaign to widely disseminate these survey results to society and to further promote activities such as direct support for accompanying families, support for hospitals, and policy advocacy. This project aims not only to solicit donations but also to broaden understanding and empathy for the social issue of "accompanying hospitalization" and to encourage participation in our activities from many people. ■ Project Overview Project Period July 2, 2026 (Thu) 12:00 - August 16, 2026 (Sun) Target Amount 5 million yen Use of Donations Direct support for accompanying families, such as meals and daily necessities, support for hospitals, consideration and p
