Japan Platform (JPF), an international NGO for emergency humanitarian aid (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo), has decided to launch "Support for Venezuela Earthquake Victims" on June 30, 2026, to respond to the humanitarian crisis caused by the earthquake in Venezuela. We kindly ask for your donations to deliver support from Japan to protect people's lives. In Venezuela, earthquakes exceeding magnitude 7, which occurred consecutively on June 25 (June 24 local time), have so far resulted in at least 1,450 deaths and over 3,100 injuries, with more than 500 aftershocks continuing. 12,700 people have been forced to evacuate, and over 2,500 buildings, including hospitals, have been damaged. In addition to the capital Caracas, La Guaira state, near the coast, has suffered particularly severe damage*. In the affected areas, in addition to rescue operations from collapsed buildings, urgent needs include emergency medical care, supply of medicines, and establishment of temporary medical facilities. Furthermore, due to damage to water and sewage systems, access to safe drinking water and sanitation facilities is limited, making water supply activities, distribution of hygiene items, and water and sanitation support including infectious disease prevention highly necessary. Many residents are living in shelters and temporary facilities, and shelter support such as tents, blankets, and daily necessities, as well as food aid, are continuously required. JPF decided on emergency support and on-site needs assessment the day after the disaster, and its member NGO Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) has already entered the affected area to begin life-saving support and assessment. Subsequently, emergency support and on-site needs assessment by the Humanitarian Medical Aid Association (HuMA) and Good Neighbors Japan (GNJP) have also been decided. By dispatching medical staff to the affected areas and leveraging the diverse strengths of each NGO, we will deliver support from Japan swiftly. We appreciate your coop
