The Linux Professional Institute (LPI) Japan (hereafter: LPI-Japan, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director Atsuo Suzuki), which conducts Linux technical certification "LinuC" and others as an open technology certification body, has released the Ubuntu edition of the learning material "Linux Server Construction Standard Textbook" (hereafter: this textbook), which allows users to learn Linux server construction knowledge through hands-on practice, on Wednesday, July 1, 2026. It has been published on the LPI-Japan website. This textbook is also useful as preparation for learning the Linux technical certification exam "LinuC." Background of Release and Main Features ■ Background of This Textbook's Release In recent years, Linux has been increasingly utilized in fields such as cloud, AI, containers, and data science. Among these, Ubuntu is one of the Linux distributions widely used, particularly in development and cloud environments. According to the "Stack Overflow Developer Survey 2025" (Note 1), one of the world's largest developer surveys, Ubuntu is used by many developers for both personal use (27.8%) and professional use (27.7%).
