MELIFIQUE, a skincare brand developed by Mai Fam Inc. and founded by model Mai Tsujimoto, will launch its first cleansing product, “MELIFIQUE F Serum-in-Oil Cleansing” (150mL, regular price 5,500 yen including tax), on July 1, 2026. Ahead of the general release, advance sales will begin on the official online store at 6:00 p.m. on June 10, 2026. The new cleanser features the brand’s original “fermented gel-wrapped oil” formula, in which oil-based cleansing ingredients are wrapped in a fermented beauty gel. The formula is designed to deliver strong makeup-removing performance while maintaining a gentle, gel-like feel on the skin. It targets mature skin by softening hardened stratum corneum and using fermented enzymes to help break down sebum impurities in pores, leading to a clearer-looking complexion. Founder Mai Tsujimoto said that cleansing was the first product she wanted to create when launching the brand. Because her modeling work requires frequent makeup changes in a single day, she had long struggled to find a cleanser that could remove makeup thoroughly without causing dryness or burdening the skin. After becoming a mother, she also needed a product that could be used quickly during busy bath times with her children. According to Tsujimoto, the team spent four years and countless prototypes before arriving at the final formula. The product contains 150mL, equivalent to approximately 1.5 to 2 months of use. The regular price is 5,500 yen including tax, while the subscription price is 4,950 yen including tax. Key features include use with wet hands, compatibility with eyelash extensions, no need for double cleansing, no need for a separate emulsification step, fast rinsing, and a non-tight finish after washing.
