On July 1, 2026, Gachaco Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Masahide Hirose) will launch a "Used Battery Purchase Campaign" targeting customers who newly sign up for our battery sharing service within Tokyo. Service Purpose and Background This campaign is a new initiative to encourage customers who already own batteries for electric motorcycles to smoothly transition to our battery sharing service by having Gachaco purchase their existing batteries. While electric motorcycles are becoming more widespread, customers face numerous burdens associated with "ownership," such as battery degradation over time, replacement costs, charging infrastructure maintenance, and future disposal. Gachaco aims to solve these issues through a sharing model where batteries are used when needed. By using our service, customers can always use their electric motorcycles with peace of mind, without worrying about battery degradation or lifespan. They are also freed from the burdens of battery replacement, maintenance, and disposal, enabling a more convenient and sustainable EV motorcycle experience. This campaign offers a new option for customers who "purchased a battery but are concerned about maintenance or future replacement" or "want to switch from ownership to sharing." Gachaco will continue to contribute to the expansion of electric motorcycle use and the realization of a circular economy through the promotion of battery sharing.
