Daimaru Fukuoka Tenjin will undergo a significant renovation of its food floors starting May 2026, marking the first major update in 11 years. Under the concept 'The HUB of KYUSHU,' the department store aims to bridge local delicacies with nationwide trends. The first phase, launching May 20, features the national debut of 'HAKATA ORIOORI,' a pie confectionery brand inspired by traditional Hakata-ori textiles. Additionally, 'Jiichiro' will open its first permanent store, and 'Henri Charpentier' will reopen with exclusive products. The expansion will increase the confectionery section to 50 brands, including a dedicated strawberry-themed area with over 50 items. The full grand opening is scheduled for late August 2026.
