Combeez Inc. (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; President: Yuichiro Yamazaki) announced on June 17 the results of a survey on concerns regarding newsletters created using AI. ▼ Beloved Email Distribution Tool with AI Functionality for Everyone ▼ https://x.gd/X1x2A Survey Background While generative AI can create text in a short amount of time, it has been pointed out that it may contain misinformation or outdated information. This survey was conducted to clarify what readers are most concerned about regarding AI-generated newsletters. Survey Results Out of 200 valid responses, "Accuracy of Content" was the most frequent concern with 107 responses (53.5%). This was followed by "Lack of personality and human touch" with 29 responses (14.5%), "Privacy and data usage of published content" with 27 responses (13.5%), and "Awkwardness of the text" with 21 responses (10.5%). "Not particularly concerned" was stated by 16 respondents (8.0%). What the Survey Results Indicate The results show that the most strongly felt concern regarding AI-generated newsletters is the accuracy of information rather than the wording of the text. It is considered important to incorporate fact-checking before distribution, clear indication of sources, display of content update dates, and final human review as operational rules. Not distributing AI-generated text as is, but demonstrating a system where the sender takes responsibility for the content, may lead to maintaining trust.
