Koisapo Inc. (Headquarters: Shinjuku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Daichi Abihiko) officially launched "Konkari," Japan's first (※) specialized job site for the matchmaking industry, on June 1, 2026. The site connects individuals who wish to work in the matchmaking industry with matchmaking businesses. Our matchmaking industry specialized media, "Konkatsu Career Tsushin," had conducted interviews with over 70 marriage agencies as of June 24, 2026. Through these interviews, we discovered that many businesses share common recruitment challenges such as "recruiting matchmaking counselors and agents," "lack of contact with industry-experienced individuals," and "few pathways for inexperienced individuals to enter the industry." This led to the development and launch of "Konkari." ▼ "Konkari" - Specialized Job Site for the Matchmaking Industry https://koisapo-college.jp/konkyari Individuals interested in working in the matchmaking industry can search for jobs and register for free. Businesses wishing to post job openings can apply to do so. The number of listed companies has continued to increase since the official launch, with over 25 matchmaking-related businesses having signed listing contracts as of June 24, 2026. Furthermore, 100 job seekers registered within the first two months of the pre-release, revealing the existence of a latent pool of individuals wanting to work in the matchmaking industry. ■ Recruitment of Personnel for the Matchmaking Industry Becomes a Challenge While Japan's number of marriages increased to 505,656 couples in 2025 compared to the previous year, the declining birthrate and increasing number of unmarried individuals continue to make securing personnel a critical management issue for marriage agencies and matchmaking party organizers. On the front lines of marriage agencies, while personalized support for each member is required, chronic staff shortages often make it difficult to maintain service quality or expand business operations.
