(Kobe City, Hyogo Prefecture), the developer of the original workwear brand "FIVES," has launched three types of "Recovery Activewear" (long-sleeved, short-sleeved, and jogger pants) that have obtained general medical device certification, in collaboration with the recovery wear brand "UNBORDER." Leveraging the design expertise cultivated in workwear development, this product achieves both objective functional data and design aesthetics that go beyond typical recovery wear. ■ Development Background and Concept While the recovery wear market already has numerous products, many claiming to be "wearable outdoors" or "suitable for one-mile wear," the reality is that design and ease of coordination often limit their use to sleeping or indoor wear. This garment was made possible by FIVES. Through research with artisans, FIVES identified five key elements: "mobility, workability, protection, comfort, and formal appearance," pursuing workwear that can be worn in the field. UNBORDER, a brand that develops recovery wear with general medical device certification under the theme of "borderless comfort," has fused its functional materials with FIVES's cultivated workwear design to jointly realize "recovery wear that can be worn outdoors." In addition to objective evidence of promoting blood circulation and fatigue recovery, the wear boasts functional test data that ensures it can be worn cleanly for a long time, including 99.8% UV shielding (equivalent to UPF50+), antibacterial properties that maintain an antibacterial activity value of 2.8 after 10 washes, deodorizing function that achieves a 78% ammonia deodorization rate in 2 hours, and durability with a pilling resistance rating of 5. The strength of FIVES, with its design knowledge as a workwear brand, lies in supporting the design that doesn't look like "typical recovery wear" with numerical data rather than just intuition. ■ General Medical Device Certification Obtained Classification: G
