Matsuhama Area Renovation College Public Presentation Banner We will hold a public presentation for the "Matsuhama Area Renovation College (Matsuhama Reno-Cale)," which is working to create new businesses by utilizing vacant houses and shops in the Matsuhama area of Kita Ward, Niigata City. This project is a hands-on human resource development program that is in its fourth year. In previous colleges, new players have been created in the community, leading to the establishment of businesses in the Matsuhama area by participants. This year, 10 participants aged 20 to 50, including local residents and those interested in Matsuhama, are participating. Participants from various backgrounds, such as company employees and self-employed individuals, will challenge themselves to create new businesses utilizing vacant properties. At the public presentation, participants will present their business plans, refined through on-site surveys and group discussions, in front of property owners and community stakeholders. This will be an opportunity to witness the challenge of creating new value by leveraging community resources and collaborating across generations to address issues faced by regional cities, such as population decline and an increase in vacant homes. On the day of the event, in addition to the participants' business plan presentations, individual interviews with the participants will also be available. You can cover their challenges in community development by the younger generation, including their motivations for participating, their feelings for the community, and the background behind their business ideas. ■What is Matsuhama Area Renovation College?
