The West Yamato Gakuen Educational Foundation's Yamato University (Location: Suita City, Osaka Prefecture; President: Shinji Matsumoto; hereinafter referred to as "the University") has commenced full-scale consideration for the establishment of a new seventh faculty, the "Faculty of Business Administration (Tentative Name, Under Planning)," to open in April 2028. Since its opening in 2014, the University has grown into a comprehensive university with six faculties spanning humanities and sciences within 10 years. Furthermore, to respond to the changing times, we have continuously pursued reform and evolution, establishing new majors and courses that meet societal needs in many faculties. Currently, the business environment is undergoing rapid changes due to the advancement of AI technology, accelerating globalization, and the need to address sustainable development goals (SDGs). Against this backdrop, we have conceived the establishment of a new Faculty of Business Administration to foster human resources who will lead the next generation of business, by consolidating the know-how of practical education that the University has cultivated to date. With the concept of "Fieldwork x AI x Business Administration" (A Faculty of Business Administration Forged in the Field), the new Faculty of Business Administration aims to cultivate human resources who can immediately contribute as frontline professionals in a constantly changing society, through extensive corporate partnerships and active learning unique to the University that is directly linked to the real world.
