A new addition has arrived at Kushiro City Zoo! One American Bison transferred from Obihiro Zoo on June 22nd. The bison has been in good spirits since its arrival and has been eating well, so it has been open to the public since June 23rd. This marks the first display of an American Bison at Kushiro City Zoo in approximately 9 years, since the passing of "Pololo," a female, in November 2017. Currently, only two zoos in Hokkaido exhibit American Bison: Obihiro Zoo and Kushiro City Zoo. Please visit Kushiro City Zoo to meet the American Bison. Details of the individual are as follows: 1.
