The Tokyo Convention & Visitors Bureau (TCVB) (Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo; President: Tsutomu Kamijo) has launched a "Tourism Study Consultation Service" starting in fiscal year 2026, with the aim of promoting understanding of tourism among young people. This initiative, part of the "Promoting Understanding of Tokyo Tourism" project conducted with the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, will host junior and senior high school students interested in Tokyo's tourism industry and various tourism-related themes for research projects, extracurricular activities, or company visits during school trips. TCVB will answer questions through in-person or online consultations. TCVB has a history of welcoming junior and senior high school students from Tokyo and across Japan, supporting various learning activities according to their needs. By visiting TCVB in person and experiencing the realities of the tourism field, students are encouraged to proactively consider the diverse challenges related to tourism and what they can do, fostering an opportunity to think about the appeal of their own regions and community development. Promoting tourism understanding among young people is crucial for the sustainability of the tourism industry, and TCVB will continue to advance these efforts. We kindly request that many schools and educational institutions utilize the Tourism Study Consultation Service, which is being implemented with the following overview.
