© Towada Oirase Tourism Organization The Towada Oirase Tourism Organization (Representative Director: Shuhei Inamoto), in collaboration with the Towada Lake Hometown Revitalization Public Corporation (Representative Director: Chikako Sasaki), has launched a new day trip plan for "Tent-Free Camping in Oirase Roman Park," an outdoor experience that allows participants to enjoy camping without bringing their own gear. This initiative, fully commercialized in fiscal year 2025, previously offered only overnight stays. The new day trip plan is designed to be more accessible for camping novices, families, and young groups. The day trip plan includes the rental of all necessary equipment for a day of camping, such as tarps, BBQ grills, chairs, and tables. Participants only need to bring their own food and drinks to enjoy BBQ and outdoor activities amidst the nature of Oirase Roman Park. The venue, Michi-no-Eki Oirase Oirase Roman Park, also offers local produce and specialty items, and features a craft beer brewery on-site, providing a convenient outdoor experience unique to a roadside station. By offering a taste of camping through the day trip, the organization aims to encourage participation in the overnight "tent-free camping" experience. A system is also in place to allow participants to upgrade to an overnight plan after their day trip, thereby extending stays in Towada City and promoting regional travel. To commemorate the launch, an open event will be held at Oirase Roman Park on July 18, 2026 (Sat). The event will feature an "Original Spice Making" workshop and a "Coffee Roasting Experience Workshop." In the coffee roasting workshop, participants can experience everything from selecting green beans to roasting them over an open flame, and take their roasted beans home. Through this project, the organization aims to create new opportunities for stays and regional exploration centered around Oirase Roman Park, while also enhancing outdoor experiences in Towada City.
