Tonami Transportation Co., Ltd. (Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture, President & CEO: Kazuya Takada, hereinafter "Tonami") and JP Logistics Co., Ltd. (Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo, President & CEO: Akira Adachi, hereinafter "JPL") are pleased to announce the establishment of a new joint logistics hub by the two companies, aiming for further growth in the consolidated freight forwarding and logistics business, as detailed below. 1. Purpose Since April 2025, Tonami and JPL have been engaged in discussions for collaboration, aiming to create synergy within the Japan Post Group. As a result, to expand and strengthen logistics functions as a unified group and to effectively utilize resources in response to labor shortages, we have decided to consolidate group facilities. This initiative is the first of its kind, involving the relocation of Tonami Yokohama Sales Office (1256 Hirado-cho, Totsuka-ku, Yokohama) and JPL Yokohama Branch (7-1 Torihama-cho, Kanazawa-ku, Yokohama) to a new complex facility equipped with distribution center functions. Based on this, a partial review of the delivery areas for both companies in the vicinity of Kanazawa Ward (details below) and a review of the route operations for freight services will be conducted.
