LA CHAUX-DE-FONDS — Swiss luxury watch brand Girard-Perregaux announces the "Laureato Turquoise Blue." This model is a special edition limited to 30 pieces for Japan. Born in 1975, the Laureato is an iconic collection known for its unique design combining an octagonal bezel, a round case, and an integrated bracelet. It embodies the brand's manufacturing expertise, with design, development, and production handled in-house, and has been recognized as a sophisticated luxury sports watch since its inception. A Turquoise Blue Enamel Dial That Evokes Shifting Expressions This model features a turquoise blue enamel finish on its dial. Designed to subtly change its impression depending on the lighting conditions and viewing angle, it is not uniformly colored but rather achieves a sense of depth through variations in hue. The base is processed with a sunray motif, and an enamel layer is applied over it, creating subtle differences in expression in response to light reflection. It expresses visual changes across the dial without relying on strong contrasts or decorative elements. Enamel Dial Manufacturing Process Traditional enameling techniques are used for the dial. By repeatedly applying a powdered mixture to a metal disc and firing it at approximately 800°C, stable color and durability are achieved. This process is extremely delicate, allowing for no minor bubbles or cracks, thus requiring advanced skills and experience. The enamel dial, finished over time, has the characteristic of being resistant to color changes over the long term. Yokohama's Blue, The Will to Weave Time François Perregaux, who crossed the sea to Japan during the late Edo period, is connected to the lineage of Girard-Perregaux. He brought Swiss watches to Japan for the first time and laid its foundation in Yokohama. The turquoise blue originates from the clear blue of the sea he saw upon arriving in Yokohama. This color symbolizes the dawn of a new era and the will to weave time. Laureato Design Codes
