Shin-Ei Animation, the company behind popular animations such as "Doraemon" and "Crayon Shin-chan," will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2026. Starting from 1965 when its predecessor, Ei Production Co., Ltd., was established, the company has produced numerous animations that bring smiles to children's faces. This exhibition will introduce many of the works created over the past half-century to commemorate Shin-Ei Animation's 50th anniversary. The exhibition period will be divided into two parts. The first half will feature works like "Ninja Hattori-kun," "The "Kintaro" Monster," and "Crayon Shin-chan," while the second half will showcase "Doraemon," "Oishinbo," "Obotchaman-kun," and others. Original animation cels and other valuable materials will also be on display. Works from the 2020s, such as "PUI PUI Molcar" and "Ginga Tokkyu Milky☆Subway," are also scheduled to be exhibited. Additionally, a special exhibition introducing the new movie "Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to," released on July 17 (Fri), will be held for a limited time. We invite you to come and find the anime you know, both nostalgic and new, at the venue. ■ Exhibition Period: Saturday, July 25, 2026 - Sunday, November 29, 2026 First Half: Saturday, July 25 - Sunday, October 4 Second Half: Tuesday, October 6 - Sunday, November 29 Special Exhibition "Kimi to Hanabi to Yakusoku to" Exhibition: Saturday, July 25 - Sunday, August 30 ■ Venue: Suginami Animation Museum, Tokyo Polytechnic University 3F, Suginami Kaikan, 3-29-5 Kami-荻i, Suginami-ku, Tokyo 167-0043 ■ Opening Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Last admission 5:30 PM) ■ Closed: Mondays (If Monday is a public holiday, the museum will be open and closed the following weekday) / Occasional temporary closures ■ Admission Fee: Free (Including the theater) ■ Organizer: Suginami Ward (Suginami Animation Museum) ■ Cooperation: Shin-Ei Animation Co., Ltd.
