DUBAI, UAE / SHANGHAI, China – June 24, 2026 – Emirates SkyCargo, the freight division of Emirates, the world’s largest international airline, today announced a strategic expansion of its cargo services in East and Southeast Asia. The airline will increase the frequency and destinations of its freighter flights to further strengthen connectivity between emerging and established manufacturing hubs in the region and high-demand key markets in the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Supporting vital international trade, Emirates SkyCargo transported over 439,000 tonnes of cargo in the 2025/26 financial year from 12 markets in East and Southeast Asia, via both freighter and passenger flights. This represents an increase of approximately 5% compared to the previous year, reflecting the growing demand from regional businesses and exporters for rapid and secure global transportation to other regions.
